Our local Costco is already completely out of cases of disposable gloves. I had planned to pick up a case (good to use whenever out in public this winter). A few weeks ago they had cases stacked up in the aisles. Now, NONE! Good thing I already stocked up on their hand sanitizer!

Wow! Wonder if you can order them online?
I need to get masks, gloves & more hand sanitizer as well. I work in a building of 300+ people. I wonder if they are right & once school resumes, the flu will spike dramatically?
I've never seen hand sanitizer on required school supply lists before.

why are they leaving it up to the parents to get the hand sanitizer? why doesn't every school have giant bottles of them in each classroom and in the cafeteria? are they all that broke?

nonnie~ I think they ARE that broke. I know they used to ask each kid to bring a box of kleenex that way they would pretty much always have one for everyone to use.

I'm sure they figure a few bucks x however many kids in the district would add up to a huge expense on the large scale.
It's not much of a hardship for each family to come up with that amount.

This is a great idea - and unfortunately you're right, the schools are that broke. I hope people get the idea and start donating Purell to their local schools.

In hospitals I know they have documented that use of Purell or similar antibacterials has really lowered the infection rates. I'm sure it would prevent the flu outbreaks as well.
