Anyone buying this beefed up FDIC insurance the Shrub served up as financial stability bravado upping the insured amount for $100K to $250K?
I suspect if banks keep failing, at some point they will just shrug their shoulders & say "sorry", no more $.

Not that I have to worry about having an excess of either amount, I'm just saying because the Shurb (the Decider GW Bush) came up with it, I do not trust it.

true, the shrub remains the single biggest disaster to life, financial or otherwise. FDIC is an accident waiting to happen ... but when it does happen, they will simply print the money necessary to cover the catastrophe. we may all be poorer but we will have our FDIC covered funds in our hot little fists, hoping for a barrel big enough to hold the $$$ necessary to buy a loaf of bread.
