Smithsonian stays classy

The Smithsonian institute rejected the suit O.J. Simpson wore at the verdict of the trial for the murder of his ex wife & her boyfriend.
I agree with the decision.... his key to fame should not be the documented domestic violence, or the botched crime scene evidence & race card antics of a posse of high end lawyers.

Apparently, Simpson is not smart enough to stay out of trouble-

MSNBC Reports: "The former NFL star is imprisoned in Nevada for a bungled effort to reclaim items of his memorabilia from a Las Vegas hotel room.

Simpson had been told the suit was in the room and was being offered for sale, along with other artifacts of his life. It turned out the suit wasn't there. "

A friend of Simpson's, by the last name of Gilbert, has the suit & the judge ordered that it be donated somewhere within 30 days.

He said he already has some ideas including two Washington, D.C., museums: the Newseum, which has a collection on historical news events, and the Museum of Crime and Punishment.

Do they have a museum for court cases gone bad?

Still Simpson can't escape his own karma. This is the kind of "bling" he will be wearing, because in December 2008, a Las Vegas judge sentenced the former football star to at least nine years in prison for the kidnapping and robbery of two sports memorabilia dealers in a casino hotel room.

I wonder if the judge issued a snappy Johnny Cochran style rhyming jingle in the sentencing?

If you fail, you go to jail

You do the crime, you do the time

I appreciate the Smithsonian taking the high road... they want historical artifacts worth remembering.

his suit should be torn up into rags and used by clean-up crews to sop up the blood at crime scenes.
