The "catastrophic" explosion, sunken drill platform & massive oil spill are no laughing matter, but I appreciate the sarcasm. They can't put this genie back in the bottle. The things they are talking about to try to stop, contain or somehow fix the problem are more of an experiment. They will describe a theory, and end with "it's never been done before at this depth, we don't know if it will work".
Can we have the discussion about safe & clean solar energy now?
Colbert is a satiric genius. I love how he puts on the looney right's ideas and walks around in them to show how ridiculous they are. And if Obama has to take his this time, so be it. Fair is fair.
where's dick cheney to tell us what he discussed with those oil execs in his closed-door meetings? where's his ugly daughter to defend the bush/cheney energy policy now?
Rasta~ Colbert dished it up really well, and Obama deserved a serving too.
nonnie ~ Oh yes Halliburton has the "oil in it's hands" on this one, and they do seem mighty quiet. Probably cutting corners to maximize profit. Bastards.
