The war does not just magically end. The hellish experience of war, death, & serious injuries will have changed people's lives irrevocably and forever. Ironically, the day President Obama announced the "end of combat in Iraq", another Soldier lost his life. No. I do not accept this kudos to Bush part of the Obama speech- " no one could doubt President Bush's support for our troops" We are not talking about photo ops & playing military dress up to pretend Bush is a patriot who loves his troops. Like this is some damned sporting event. Yes I'm bitter, and disgusted that our country would let anyone get away-- literally, with not just murder, but mass murder. 4,417 soldiers died, just for us to one day walk away, and say "the premise on which we justified going to war proved not to be valid. ... it will always be clouded by how it began." – U.S. Defense Secretary Robert GatesThat's it? We shrug our shoulders because , in the end it just happened to be an invalid premise? Someone please tell our Constitutional Scholar President about the laws that were broken. If we just turn the page & let this one go, then the precedent is set for future presidents to go down this same deadly path. Wars of choice. Human right violations. Collateral damage. Torture. Special prisons tucked away in other countries, where no laws prevail. |

can you believe that that piece of warmongering shit, john bolton, is thinking of running for president? another chicken hawk (he said in his book, "I confess I had no desire to die in a Southeast Asian rice paddy," but he would have no problem sending someone else's kid to die.
John Bolton ... holy crap! He was the US ambassador in the United Nations who did not believe in the united nations.
He kind of looks like Yosemite Sam, & sure has that wild & crazy persona down.
Ewww! Tainted by Bush.... I'm not sure I would entrust this piece of work to be my garbage collector
No wonder that statement you quoted goes right along w the Bush philosophy about war.
Let someone else do it. Bolton has a snowball's chance in hell of being prez.
