This is some strange data flow...
Usually the CDC posts the stats for the week.... the 9/11/09 update would have just last week's data, but it says the numbers are for the "week ending 9/5, data received by 9/10"
Maybe they are getting even more behind than the weekly reporting?
Anyway, besides the data backpedaling, the numbers took an alarming spike.
yesterday on CNN they said drs are reporting TWICE the number of flu cases as normal for Sept. CNN's analysis: THAT'S WACKY!
ReplyDeletethey also pointed out older people are more immune this time cuz of flu's they were exposed to in the 1940's-50's. WACKY?
Wacky or deadly-- you decide.
ReplyDeleteNot to be a dirge, but damn.... it's freaking me out that the CDC does not even seem to have a handle on reporting the incidents, let alone being the *control center* of diseases.
They were reporting an average 40 deaths a week, but 8/30 to 9/12 they are reporting 364 deaths.
According to this new (backlogged/old) data,
they are seeing 182 deaths per week average?
Actually I had read very young & very old were most effected, especially if you have other risk factors, poor immunity, or health complications.
CNN: That's a PANDEMIC.
WHO reports:
over 296471 cases worldwide
at least 3486 deaths
