News Tidbits

SHOE THROWER GETS 3 YEARS IN PRISON: "I had the feeling that the blood of innocent people was dropping on my feet during the time that he was smiling and coming to say bye-bye to Iraq with a dinner," al-Zaidi said.

Dhiaa al-Saadi, the head of Zaidi's defense team, condemned the sentence as harsh and said it would be appealed.
They have it all wrong-- the shoe thrower was the hero in his symbolic gesture & BUSH should be jailed for crimes against humanity.

HOMETOWN HONORS: Looks like this design for a billboard will be posted in Rush Limbaugh's hometown.

TRIPPING ALONG: Bristol & Levi have called it quits. No shotgun summer marriage for them. They are just kids- Levi 19 & Bristol 18- with an infant son Tripp. The Palin sagas just keep coming. But maybe this was for the best. Who knows- maybe he voted for Obama??? Tripp & his Uncle Trigg (both infants) can grow up together while Grandma Sarah puts lipstick on Pitbulls, and trashes Alaska's natural resources to make a buck.

DOWNSIZING: Goodbye $7 million penthouse apartment.
Hello 7 1/2-by-8 foot jail cell.

Madman Madoff, ripoff financial mismanager will be logging time here for the rest of his life.
Instant Karma for you Madoff- I'm glad the judge sent him straight to jail.

TGIF people!

Good wrap up of the news...lol At least we have everything boiled down to just a few things...hopefully these will be all we have to talk about for a while.

Interesting bits of new news. I love the Rush billboard project. LOL.... they held a contest to come up with the best slogan.

I'm sorry the reporter got 3 years in prison. I hope they appeal & pardon him. He should not have to do jail time. Makes no sense. Limit his access, maybe but 3 years is over the top. So many people appreciated his performance art.

Madoff.... he ruined a lot of people's lives.
I wonder if these insiders should help the SEC get some teeth. Lots of folks are saying he did not do this by himself.... he pleaded guilty to save others.... there are other people who were in on the fraud.

I think we all suspected that Bristol and Levi would never get married "this spring". It never made sense if they were gonna get married why they wouldn't do it BEFORE the baby was born. It was a smoke-and-mirrors act to make Palin acceptable and okay for the fundie-repuke base of family-value-wingers to vote for her. I sense McCain's fingerprints all over that whole deal because he could not admit he made a big mistake with Palin.

And yeah, the shoe-thrower getting 3-yrs while War Criminal Bush luxuriates in his Dallas Mansion is completely topsy-turvy!

ps, I've been trying to comment for a couple days but I kept getting the "illegal operation" notice, so let's see if this goes through.
