The evolution of the Food Pyramid

No wonder I am so confused....

So over the years, they added exercise, and recently lost the pyramid, in exchange for a plate.
People always have to have their fun with it though....
Unless you are a politician, in which case you may Eat Crow

* No crow was harmed in the making of this photo, it is a halloween cake!

Yea well, the FDA did oversee (or is that had bad oversight?) regarding
these tainted products going to market.

Are you more confused than ever about dietary recommendations?
Low carb, High Fat, Low fat, Vegetarian, Atkins, South Beach
Butter or margarine?
Have you figured it out?
How do you make yourself exercise?

the constantly changing nature of the food pyramid is no doubt because of politics and not about our health.

here is how we should eat--5 to 6 SMALL meals a day spaced out to keep your blood sugar stable. you should eat grains and starches for energy and lots of fruits and veggies for vitamins and minerals, and some beans/legumes/nuts for protein.

at least that's my opinion :)

I have terrible, erratic eating habits.

I love all ethnic foods so I go through periods of eating mostly Mexican, then I get bored and I'm onto a Vietnamese phase, then I think Is should eat healthier, so I go vegetarian for two weeks, then I get bored and eat fast food.

Blame my mother who never forced me to eat foods allegedly good for me and consequently, as an adult, I like everything.

Put it in front of me and I eat it.

those are pretty funny! does anyone really decide what to eat by looking at a chart?
