This sign says:
IF YOU VOTED FOR OBAMA...
SEEK UROLOGIC CARE ELSEWHERE

The Orlando Sentinel reports:
"I'm not turning anybody away — that would be unethical," Dr. Jack Cassell, 56, a Mount Dora urologist and a registered Republican opposed to the health plan, told the Orlando Sentinel on Thursday. "But if they read the sign and turn the other way, so be it."
Cassell may be walking a thin line between his right to free speech and his professional obligation, said William Allen, professor of bioethics, law and medical professionalism at the University of Florida's College of Medicine.
Allen said doctors cannot refuse patients on the basis of race, gender, religion, sexual orientation or disability, but political preference is not one of the legally protected categories specified in civil-rights law. By insisting he does not quiz his patients about their politics and has not turned away patients based on their vote, the doctor is "trying to hold onto the nub of his ethical obligation," Allen said.
"But this is pushing the limit," he said.
Cassell, who has practiced medicine in GOP-dominated Lake County since 1988, said he doesn't quiz his patients about their politics, but he also won't hide his disdain for the bill Obama signed and the lawmakers who passed it.
In his waiting room, Cassell also has provided his patients with photocopies of a health-care timeline produced by Republican leaders that outlines "major provisions" in the health-care package. The doctor put a sign above the stack of copies that reads: "This is what the morons in Washington have done to your health care. Take one, read it and vote out anyone who voted for it."

Can you imagine having a Doctor like this?
Doctor's take an oath, "First do no harm". I would contend that this hostility is psychological harm.
I would not do business with any Doctor who posted this type of notice, even if I agreed with the sentiment (which I don't w this guy) because Doctor's are supposed to be healers, and keep patients healthy.
I hope his practice experiences a mass exodus. No wait! I hope his practice is overflowing with tea party nutcases.
When did this .....

I wouldn't go to him for medical care anyway. Fuck him and his stupid attitude.
I had a primary care physician just like him, though he didn't post anything, but he talked Fox news talking points with me and I didn't appreciate it which he noted and drew an accurate conclusion. After that I couldn't ever get in to see him as he was too busy. Fuck head asshole!
So yeah, I moved on. It's hard to find find people who aren't politically retarded around here though...
in words he can understand--piss on him! by the way, his wife is running for county commissioner. are we to believe that he's not using his medical office to push her candidacy as well as to disparage the health care reform bill? and are we to believe that he will treat a patient who disagrees with him as well as he treats those who do? i hope a lot of people call his office, make an appointment, and then don't show up.
Lib~ Exactly! Who would want this guy anywhere near you w a scalpel or sharp surgical instrument?
Be an adult & leave your politics @ the door.
Nonnie~ You are such a fun mastermind!
I thought doctors were supposed to have soothing comforting things to read in their lobbies. People are there because they have a medical need, they don't feel well or worse, they are very ill. When I'm sitting in the waiting room, I want to see dolphins swimming on the walls and cute kitties and maybe a fun joke. I wonder what Cassell's staff thinks -- might be some labor law violation there -- you should not be forced to endure your employer's mad political ravings.
