Nuclear radiation is blowing in the wind...

Personally, I trust Greenpeace more than I trust TEPCO.

Hat tip to B for sending this info.

Not much commentary needed. The radioactive fallout in on the move.
The web site from the State of Oregon set up to provide daily tracking of radioactive levels showed Portland Oregon's readings for radioactivity doubled from 19 to 40, and ever since then, it has posted "No Data Available from the EPA".
First it doubled, then it disappeared.

A number of monitoring stations on the West coast have gone "offline".
Either we have a faulty & unreliable system of monitoring, or there is a whitewash of data going on.

Eh! What am I worried about? The Government says it is safe & no problem.

Whoa, that is some scary stuff! Of course, everything is going to be a-okay, we wouldn't want people to panic now would we? ;~)

oh, just wait a little while. the rethugs will get rid of the epa altogether, so there won't be anything to worry about.

DW ~ This is a prediction for April 6 atmospheric/wind movement.
We need to know what's going on!

Lib~ You got it~ TEPCO & the US Government say everything's OK.... so it must be.

Nonnie- The GOP really has the EPA budget on the budget chopping block. Now all they will officially do is sing Kumbayah on Earth Day.
Shut down those Socialists who demand clean air AND water- standing in the way of profit making. Hrumph!

oh what are we so worried about?

in the 1950's, the govt reassured those of us living near the Nevada Test Site that nuclear testing was "safe". The govt said there was such a redundancy of precautions that we shouldn't worry our pretty little heads about such a non-issue ... that we weren't capable of understanding all the technology so we should just take their word for it.

Then some of the above ground bombs got into the jetstream. But not to worry! The exact words of that our trustworthy govt used about where the fallout was landing was, "it's only affecting a low-use segment of the population".

So much for honesty from our govt. Their credibility died on the day radiation from a big nuke dubbed Dirty Harry was falling out all over southern UT and all our govt did was warn people driving through to "keep your windows closed and don't stop".

Our local cemetary is filled with dead children from the early '60's and too many cancer deaths to count. The "low use segment of the population" paid for this govt misinformation program with their lives.

We are all downwinders and the time to worry the most is when we are being told everything is fine.
