It really IS what the Doctor ordered. Exercise, weight loss, but I have to say riding on the river trail, enjoying a sunny fall day & the beautiful colors of the leaves, has a side effect- happiness.
The following are photos from my recent bike ride...

i'm so jealous.
beautiful colors and all that free Vitamin D ... who could ask for more?
nonnie- yea, but YOU don't have to rake leaves, or savor the sun till the Norwester rains come....always tradeoffs in life!
DK ~ twas a sweet moment in time.
you are a Lucky Duck! and speaking of ducks, do yours go south for the winter? I witnessed a huge "herd" flying OH yester-eve and wondered where they came from and where they are going. I worried, because they were heading directly for our little airport ... perhaps to catch a flight to mexico and spare their wings? ... hopefully not to get caught in a turbine since we don't have anything like the Hudson River for a plane to "fall" into ... but then we remembered our airport doesn't have any night flights.
Good for you Fran... Motivates me to do something more than I have lately. Thanks.
Ahhh... and I love Eugene's bike paths.
BTW, I don't rake leaves here in VT, I pick em up with the lawn mower, which shreds them for the garden.
Laziness rules!
