White Bird ~ It's a beautiful day

I worked this weekend, but am off the rest of the week till Friday. That alone makes it a *beautiful day*.
Looking forward to a small family get together here for Thanksgiving.

I know a few more banks went under last week, and now Citibank is getting a huge piece of the bailout pie.
A part of the bailout allows the government to get shares of their stock. Did George think that one up himself?
Lots of useless stock of companies going down..... right out of the Enron School of Cooked Books & the fast track to total collapse?

Agh! I have to pace myself. Maybe even drive me to step away from the computer and get the house cleaned for Thanksgiving? Drastic times call for drastic measures.....

Fran,

You're in Oregon, correct?

Check this:

Freddie Freeper was outnumbered in PDX 10-to-1. Got to love Portland!

Wow! Fred Phelp's Westboro Baptist church of hate & discrimination was stomped! ^5 Portland!!!

Turns out my crowd estimation of the Eugene equal rights rally was wrong--It was 300-400 people, I guesstimated 200.
I live in a College town. Most people here embrace diversity & know opening that door of inequality leads to other overstepping legislation.

Wish we could fast forward to to part where Obama has put balance back in the Supreme Court, and we can get equal rights legislated. Once & for all.

Yes, drastic times call for a day of rest, with loved ones and a cooked turkey. Make sure you enjoy it and ban any talk of financial crisis or George W. Remember it's THANKSgiving, not REGRETgiving. :)

LOL Gary-- I will keep that in mind. Hope you & yours are fine.

What, you're not having TOFURKY after watching the Palin monster vid?!? We decided we just can't do turkey this year. Plus there's a big SW storm on the way, so I don't feel like driving anywhere, like to the family bird fest. But I still have much thanks to give, as I'm sure will be repeated at T-Giving tables all over America, about Obama getting ready to take charge and a nearly wound-up Bush Adm exiting soon.
