The good news is the number killed by it remans unchanged. The flu is behaving like a "normal" flu strain & not deadly.
But they do warn us of a potential boomerang effect of it returning with a vengeance in the fall.
Meanwhile, they need to get cracking on a vaccine.
If this was a test drill of the system, the CDC sure has been slow to the draw on updating information. If this were an actual pandemic, they would have needed to update information much faster. They only have one lab in Atlanta??
This seems woefully inadequate.

I agree, they need to get moving on that vaccine. It could very well be worse when it comes back.
UT is setting up its own lab with the goal of providing test results in 24-hrs. We had 17 "probable" cases as of yesterday, most in the posh summit county/park city area, but also some in BYU area. A couple UT kids were in southern calif last week & got sick while driving back home. They stopped & were admitted to a hospital in Vegas. No idea of they are part of the UT count.
